This week has been spent catching up on vlogs, starting a new box set and picking up March magazine issues… and the introduction to a Spring wardrobe.
Across the pond, to the cobbled streets of jolly ol’ England. London Fashion week is underway and making statements at each and every turn. As with my previous post about NYFW I am just going to cover the couple of shows that caught my eye.
Fashion week is in session, New York have kicked off the most glamorous time of the year for all NY city dwellers. So grab your high heels, tie your shirts backwards and make sure to walk slowly across the road in front of yellow cabs (I’ve seen street style, I know the deal).
In life sometimes you just stumble across beauty. Whether you’re walking in Regent’s Park in summer, down Oxford Street in glistening snow in winter or scrolling through Instagram from your sofa, there is beauty in everything. And I have just discovered a new love, it’s totally impractical but sometimes love is. Bonds Australia have just launched their first swimwear collection and it is modelled by Miranda Kerr… I don’t even know if I need to write more.
Spending a few sun filled days in Ibiza with friends was just what was needed for my tired mind. However, as it always seems to be, a few days of indulgence leads to a slippery slope of binge eating. Food. What a lovely and deceptively evil thing it is.
Every month without fail I purchase ELLE magazine, it has been my bible since I was 16, showing me beautiful clothes, powerful women and inspirational content. To me it is ‘the one’. However, as we approach the changing of seasons (yet again) I prepare to get my head stuck into the all-important September Issues.
It only happens every four years and let’s be honest it was never going to live up to London Olympics 2012. But as always I have been sucked in, left on the edge of my seat and already found it hard to believe the skill of some of these athletes.
A fitness journey is a battle, full of highs and lows. Each journey is different as each desired outcome varies. For me it’s as much about having a healthy mind as it is about working my body to its limits.
One of my nearest and dearest moved to Australia this year, to work and live for four years! And she was rude enough to leave me behind. So I decided I would book a ticket to go see her for New Year’s Eve in Sydney. I think we can agree that it is very exciting and I’ve basically been bouncing around like a child being told they’re going to Disney ever since.
There are always hundreds of thoughts buzzing through my head, current events, when I’m next going to wash my hair, how much money I have left to last the month, plans for future travels and of course the everyday life struggles.
